Welcome Back to School!
I hope that everyone had a wonderful summer and you and your child is ready for a great school year.
If your child is struggling with the transition of going back to school, please let your child's teacher and/or me know. Here is a tip-sheet to help with back-to-school changes:

Sometimes, the transition to school for kindergartners can be difficult. There are different things you can do at home to help them transition.
*Develop and stick to morning and after-school routines, if possible.
*Create a good-bye ritual that includes letting your child know you will see them after school.
*Send a small transitional object (family photo, worry stone) that your child can access during the day.
*Let your child express their feelings and encourage them to share things that they enjoyed throughout the day.
*There is a video from the "Daniel Tiger" series on PBS about how "Grown Ups Come Back." http://www.pbs.org/parents/daniel/?guid=96c57640-7bf3-413a-8afa-a6eb530989d1
